Four and a Half

G Man is four and half, and you can be certain he's one proud dude!

George takes birthdays very seriously (namely gifts / toy procurement) and while he didn't receive any gifts today, we did splurge on Girl Scout cookies with a candle and song which had him giddy with delight.

George,

You are my joy.  You are incredibly sensitive and are deeply caring; being a person of intense emotions can be hard for all parties involved, but you remind us daily to slow down and be in the moment with you.

Whether showing us your latest Power Rangers moves or explaining something that happened at school that day, you require nothing short of our full attention.  It takes some practice, but boy is it worth it - sitting there staring into your eyes as you eloquently explain, in full detail, whatever it is the moment has you passionate about.

I can't get enough of you, G.

A couple of weeks ago you and Dad went to Comic Con.  You were in heaven!  You loved dressing up in your new Megazord costume (which we bought you especially for the occasion) and from what both you and Dad have reported, you had an awesome time exploring the event and even getting to meet the original Blue Ranger!

Here is your half birthday interview:

You are the best, G - I love you more than I could ever express.

Happy 4.5, buddy!

20 week ultrasound

Yesterday Kevin and I went to our 20 week ultrasound.  Everything looked great and the two questions still lingering in my mind were confirmed. 1) Yes, it's a boy! 2) Nope, I'm not having twins  :) I've heard it a million times: with each pregnancy you pop a little sooner, but when I was in maternity pants at 12 weeks, I thought surely there must be two in there... Here are some pictures, if you'd like to see. During George's 20 week ultrasound Kevin admitted he'd almost fallen asleep, so I will admit: I had a hard time staying awake this time  :) But we did get to see him in 4D ultrasound which we've never done before, so that was really cool. So fun! After our appointment we went to breakfast at Salish Lodge and took my first Month of Bumps picture. (cue shrills of excitement from everyone eager to see belly pics for the next 4 months!) Before taking the picture I (lovingly) assured Kevin that yes, we would be taking...
