First Comes Love...

Early last Saturday morning, after jotting  a few notes  to Kevin, my Mom and I took off for our annual girls weekend in San Francisco! The weather was perfect and the shopping was ( as always! ) spectacular. Every year we do pretty much the same thing: walk all around town, ride the cable cars to and from the wharf, shop, eat, and fall asleep to pay-per-view movies each night. We have some favorite traditions (like lunch at The Rotunda , seafood at the Wharf, and Ghirardelli's for a sundae), but every year we also try some new things (this year we went all-out-tourist mode and rode a double-decker bus around the city!) Or at least until baby is far too stimulated!... We had such a great time in San Fran this year.  Not only was it Abigail's first real vacation, but it was also her first airplane ride- and she did great.  I'm tellin' ya, this kid knows how to travel- she's her Mother's daughter! She slept on both plane rides, and hung out contently in her stroller each day...  playing with her toys while awake, then quietly drifting off for naps in the midst of street noise, retail shop music, or sirens passing by. An ideal travel buddy! We left Sunday morning and hit our flight timing perfectly- it fell right in line with her morning nap so she was fast asleep before we hit our cruising altitude. Once we got into town, we spent a while unpacking and jumping on the bed before heading out to see the sites!
