Let's go to the movies!

Abigail and I went to see her first movie last week!

It was a last minute idea, and while she would have loved to see Sponge Bob, there was no way I was going to sit through 2 hours of that...

So Paddington it was!

She had no idea what to expect but was blown away by the vastness of it all.  Not only was she amazed by the huge movie screen, but gave an audible gasp when she walked into the bathroom and saw rows of stalls  ;)

And since we went to a 5:30 film, we had popcorn for dinner!

In true form, Abigail sat attentively the whole time, only stopping twice for bathroom breaks, and once because "I want a cookie, Mama"

When in Rome...

We didn't get a cookie (of all the junk they sell, cookies aren't one of them), but settled on Rasinettes (my Mom gene was relatively satisfied).

Here are a few more cute pictures.

I loved this date with my little lady.

It was so fun to sit in silence together for a few hours, giggling and eating popcorn  :)

20 week ultrasound

Yesterday Kevin and I went to our 20 week ultrasound.  Everything looked great and the two questions still lingering in my mind were confirmed. 1) Yes, it's a boy! 2) Nope, I'm not having twins  :) I've heard it a million times: with each pregnancy you pop a little sooner, but when I was in maternity pants at 12 weeks, I thought surely there must be two in there... Here are some pictures, if you'd like to see. During George's 20 week ultrasound Kevin admitted he'd almost fallen asleep, so I will admit: I had a hard time staying awake this time  :) But we did get to see him in 4D ultrasound which we've never done before, so that was really cool. So fun! After our appointment we went to breakfast at Salish Lodge and took my first Month of Bumps picture. (cue shrills of excitement from everyone eager to see belly pics for the next 4 months!) Before taking the picture I (lovingly) assured Kevin that yes, we would be taking...

A Suburban NYE

We partied hard with neighbors for New Year's Eve this year, and it was perfect - no need to dress up, tackle crowds, or spend big bucks - add to that great friends who are also neighbors, and it's a win/win.

Merry Christmas!

May your day be Merry and Bright!
