Abigail's first haircut

Yesterday we took Abigail to get her first haircut!

In a perfect world I would have waited, but after more than a few comments from Kevin and others, I figured it was time.

Especially when she started looking like this...  :)

We celebrated this milestone with a pink sprinkle donut at Top Pot before the big cut.  Needless to say, this was the highlight!

We talked about it all morning and when we finally got there she didn't seem to mind; they had Daniel Tiger on TV.

Finally it was her turn, and Miss Lori called her over to the pink Jeep (cue shy girl nerves).

She never panicked, but she certainly wasn't amused by the Jeep, her haircut, myself, or Miss Lori, and she managed to make eye contact with no one the. whole. time.

Since it was really just a bang trim (with a little cleanup around the sides), the appointment was relatively quick and painless.

And Miss Lori surprised Abigail with an up-do :)

But still no smiles.

After her appointment was over, Lori carried her over to pick out a balloon and lollipop.

She warmed to the idea, but ultimately we left smile-less...

On the bright side, she can see past her bangs again!

20 week ultrasound

Yesterday Kevin and I went to our 20 week ultrasound.  Everything looked great and the two questions still lingering in my mind were confirmed. 1) Yes, it's a boy! 2) Nope, I'm not having twins  :) I've heard it a million times: with each pregnancy you pop a little sooner, but when I was in maternity pants at 12 weeks, I thought surely there must be two in there... Here are some pictures, if you'd like to see. During George's 20 week ultrasound Kevin admitted he'd almost fallen asleep, so I will admit: I had a hard time staying awake this time  :) But we did get to see him in 4D ultrasound which we've never done before, so that was really cool. So fun! After our appointment we went to breakfast at Salish Lodge and took my first Month of Bumps picture. (cue shrills of excitement from everyone eager to see belly pics for the next 4 months!) Before taking the picture I (lovingly) assured Kevin that yes, we would be taking...
