20 Week Ultrasound

Here are some adorable pictures from Baby's 20 week ultrasound!

They (I use the term "they" instead of "it"... not to be confused with the twin "they"!) were moving around so much that the appointment took 20 minutes longer than usual.  But we really enjoyed getting so much face time with Baby.

Well, I did anyway.  Kevin told me afterward that he was fighting to stay awake after 15 minutes.  Such a guy!

Everything checked out great, and we stuck to our guns to wait and find out the gender, so it looks like your due date will be the next time we see you, Baby! (18 weeks and counting..!)

Since my parents watched Abigail during our appointment, we went downtown for dinner at Local 360.

The food was good, but I give it a rating of "meh".  We were thinking more farm-to-table-fresh, but it was a heavier style comfort food.  Still good!  Just not what we were expecting.

It was a great evening to be out celebrating the sunshine and our new little one.

A perfect little date night!

20 week ultrasound

Yesterday Kevin and I went to our 20 week ultrasound.  Everything looked great and the two questions still lingering in my mind were confirmed. 1) Yes, it's a boy! 2) Nope, I'm not having twins  :) I've heard it a million times: with each pregnancy you pop a little sooner, but when I was in maternity pants at 12 weeks, I thought surely there must be two in there... Here are some pictures, if you'd like to see. During George's 20 week ultrasound Kevin admitted he'd almost fallen asleep, so I will admit: I had a hard time staying awake this time  :) But we did get to see him in 4D ultrasound which we've never done before, so that was really cool. So fun! After our appointment we went to breakfast at Salish Lodge and took my first Month of Bumps picture. (cue shrills of excitement from everyone eager to see belly pics for the next 4 months!) Before taking the picture I (lovingly) assured Kevin that yes, we would be taking...

Merry Christmas!

May your day be Merry and Bright!

A Suburban NYE

We partied hard with neighbors for New Year's Eve this year, and it was perfect - no need to dress up, tackle crowds, or spend big bucks - add to that great friends who are also neighbors, and it's a win/win.
