The Tradition Continues

Last year we skipped our Christmas party to celebrate Abigail's baptism. Kevin refused to have two parties at Christmastime. (I suppose I can't blame him.)

But we came back with avenges this year, and it was so much fun!

Joined by many friends, a bonfire, yule log disco, sing-a-longs, and topped with an ugly Christmas sweater cameo concert, it was a memorable evening for sure!

The party started at 7pm, which seems reasonable until you have a kid.  Then 7pm on a Saturday night feels like bedtime.  Next year we'll be starting at 6- just to be sure we stay awake  ;)

(and I'll be using a real camera since clearly my iPhone takes blurry pictures)

My little Elf was ready to party

So was our cute little house!

Even the tree was eager for friends to arrive!

These two are adorable and I love them so.

Once we got a second wine spill out of the way (that'd be me...) it was time for some carols!  Todd on piano, Kelly on vocals, and the rest of us back-up choir.

A highlight of the night!

Caroling peaked when Kelly came from our bedroom wearing my ugly Christmas sweater, and continuing to sing!

We'll have to work hard to measure up next year, but I think we've found a new tradition: night cap sing-a-longs!

Thanks again to our amazing friends who came and made the night so great.

My stomach hurt for days from laughing so much!

20 week ultrasound

Yesterday Kevin and I went to our 20 week ultrasound.  Everything looked great and the two questions still lingering in my mind were confirmed. 1) Yes, it's a boy! 2) Nope, I'm not having twins  :) I've heard it a million times: with each pregnancy you pop a little sooner, but when I was in maternity pants at 12 weeks, I thought surely there must be two in there... Here are some pictures, if you'd like to see. During George's 20 week ultrasound Kevin admitted he'd almost fallen asleep, so I will admit: I had a hard time staying awake this time  :) But we did get to see him in 4D ultrasound which we've never done before, so that was really cool. So fun! After our appointment we went to breakfast at Salish Lodge and took my first Month of Bumps picture. (cue shrills of excitement from everyone eager to see belly pics for the next 4 months!) Before taking the picture I (lovingly) assured Kevin that yes, we would be taking...

Merry Christmas!

May your day be Merry and Bright!

Two!

Yesterday you turned two; I can hardly believe it! Two year pictures, wearing a dress I wore when I was little You are such a funny, sweet little girl, and I love seeing your personality unfold more each day.  This last month you've really started coming out of your shell and love making people laugh; whether tickling "gee gee gee gee" , or joking around (the other day you took a doll house high chair and pretended to sit in it...all the while looking back at me smiling and laughing like "look, I'm going to try and sit in this teeny highchair!" ), you sure know how to make us laugh. Music is your first love.  Beach Boys Greatest Hits is the current album favorite , so we listen to it in the car every day.  Mainly to Barbara Ann (you always request "ba ba ba" ).  You also love listening to Swiss music with Grandma and having Dad play "Abigail Loves Cheese" on his guitar when he gets home at night. Schwingfest is this Saturday a...
