An Apple a Day

Keeps the dentist away...

for at least 6 months!

October 2nd marked Miss Bitsy Girl's first dentist appointment, and I'm happy to report- no cavities  ;)

She was very patient in the waiting room...watching kids go by, and being slightly amused / unsure of the large Tigger and Pooh Bear's House.

Once our name was called, we meet our hygienist and Dr. Sata, then picked out our very own big kid toothbrush.  She was only suppose to take one, but insisted on two: a pink Piglet one, and a blue Tigger one.

Clearly, Tigger had made a lasting impression...

We learned about cleaning our teeth and proper brushing techniques, then it was time to pick out a few prizes before leaving.  Abigail chose two bath toys: a lobster and a crab.  Good choice Bits.

Abigail had lots of fun with so many cool things to look at and explore- we can't wait to go back for our next appointment in 6 months.

(since when are babies suppose to go to the dentist every 6 months?!  I'm a pushover, so of course I made my next appointment before I left...)

We'll be sure to keep you posted as Abigail paves her way to No Cavity Club President (like her Mama!)

20 week ultrasound

Yesterday Kevin and I went to our 20 week ultrasound.  Everything looked great and the two questions still lingering in my mind were confirmed. 1) Yes, it's a boy! 2) Nope, I'm not having twins  :) I've heard it a million times: with each pregnancy you pop a little sooner, but when I was in maternity pants at 12 weeks, I thought surely there must be two in there... Here are some pictures, if you'd like to see. During George's 20 week ultrasound Kevin admitted he'd almost fallen asleep, so I will admit: I had a hard time staying awake this time  :) But we did get to see him in 4D ultrasound which we've never done before, so that was really cool. So fun! After our appointment we went to breakfast at Salish Lodge and took my first Month of Bumps picture. (cue shrills of excitement from everyone eager to see belly pics for the next 4 months!) Before taking the picture I (lovingly) assured Kevin that yes, we would be taking...

Merry Christmas!

May your day be Merry and Bright!

A Suburban NYE

We partied hard with neighbors for New Year's Eve this year, and it was perfect - no need to dress up, tackle crowds, or spend big bucks - add to that great friends who are also neighbors, and it's a win/win.
