Happy Anniversary (two us!)

Today Kevin and I celebrate our second wedding anniversary!

Last year we headed to Alderbrook for the night, but this year (especially since it falls on a Tuesday), we're celebrating with a relaxed, low key evening: dinner at Ray's Boathouse, then back home to watch our wedding video.... all the way through...  Do you find it a little awkward watching yourself on video?  I know I do!

Kevin,

Today we celebrate us!

The last two years have been a whirlwind, to say the least!  I feel so fortunate to call you my husband, best friend, father to our children, and life partner.  Life isn't always easy (this whole "compromise" thing is interesting.. ;) but there is no one I'd rather share this journey with than you.

You make me laugh when I'm taking life too seriously, help me relax and see things more simply, and despite my shortcomings, you love me deeply and with all your heart.

You are my rock, my shelter, and my light.

I love you.

Happy Anniversary, my love~

20 week ultrasound

Yesterday Kevin and I went to our 20 week ultrasound.  Everything looked great and the two questions still lingering in my mind were confirmed. 1) Yes, it's a boy! 2) Nope, I'm not having twins  :) I've heard it a million times: with each pregnancy you pop a little sooner, but when I was in maternity pants at 12 weeks, I thought surely there must be two in there... Here are some pictures, if you'd like to see. During George's 20 week ultrasound Kevin admitted he'd almost fallen asleep, so I will admit: I had a hard time staying awake this time  :) But we did get to see him in 4D ultrasound which we've never done before, so that was really cool. So fun! After our appointment we went to breakfast at Salish Lodge and took my first Month of Bumps picture. (cue shrills of excitement from everyone eager to see belly pics for the next 4 months!) Before taking the picture I (lovingly) assured Kevin that yes, we would be taking...

Merry Christmas!

May your day be Merry and Bright!

A Suburban NYE

We partied hard with neighbors for New Year's Eve this year, and it was perfect - no need to dress up, tackle crowds, or spend big bucks - add to that great friends who are also neighbors, and it's a win/win.
