"I'm having a PONY PARTY!"

I'd be a rich woman if I'd been given a dollar every time Abigail told this to someone this past month.

We are knee deep in Birthday month, but this past weekend we celebrated Abigail turning 5 with a pony party at Farrel-McWhirter Park in Redmond.  Grandparents, Auntie, cousins, and a couple friends joined us to celebrate.

The park did an amazing job, all we had to do was pick a theme (Western or Unicorn...wanna guess what Abigail picked?!) and show up with food and cake.

It was a perfect afternoon spent celebrating our little girl over pony rides, games, food, cake, and gifts.

Everyone had a great time - especially Abigail who now owns all the ponies, Barbies, and dress up doll toys her heart could ever yearn for  :)

And before I forget, here are some cute pictures from that morning.  It's so fun when your birthday falls on a Saturday!  I think it should be that way EVERY year.

"Oh...I miss being 4" was the first thing she said when she woke up!

Happy birthday to my amazing, tender hearted first born.  You are an incredible little girl, Miss Abigail.  Your kindness and observant nature never cease to amaze me.

I love you so much, baby.

20 week ultrasound

Yesterday Kevin and I went to our 20 week ultrasound.  Everything looked great and the two questions still lingering in my mind were confirmed. 1) Yes, it's a boy! 2) Nope, I'm not having twins  :) I've heard it a million times: with each pregnancy you pop a little sooner, but when I was in maternity pants at 12 weeks, I thought surely there must be two in there... Here are some pictures, if you'd like to see. During George's 20 week ultrasound Kevin admitted he'd almost fallen asleep, so I will admit: I had a hard time staying awake this time  :) But we did get to see him in 4D ultrasound which we've never done before, so that was really cool. So fun! After our appointment we went to breakfast at Salish Lodge and took my first Month of Bumps picture. (cue shrills of excitement from everyone eager to see belly pics for the next 4 months!) Before taking the picture I (lovingly) assured Kevin that yes, we would be taking...

A Suburban NYE

We partied hard with neighbors for New Year's Eve this year, and it was perfect - no need to dress up, tackle crowds, or spend big bucks - add to that great friends who are also neighbors, and it's a win/win.

Merry Christmas!

May your day be Merry and Bright!
