Thanksgiving 2015

This was our second year celebrating Thanksgiving at the new house, and while the group was the same as last year (my parents, Victor, Catherine, Mamie, Papa, and Uncle Bob) it felt a little different than before; in a more relaxed, wonderful way.

Papa's train tracks sure did make it more fun for the kids!

The majority of the long weekend was spent relaxing at the house, walking around in the snow, and making fires.  We took the kids to town on Friday evening to welcome Santa to town, pick out their yearly ornament, and walk in the children's parade (where we managed THE front and center position!)

Neither Abigail or George had an issue with Santa this year.  Abigail was a bit shy but she managed to tell Santa that she wanted a butterfly bike for Christmas (in response, Santa asked if she wanted one with wings.  Really Santa?  Thanks.)  As for George, he didn't say much, but Abigail assured the big guy that George wanted some new choo-choos.  She's such a sweet big sis.

The kids had a great time this year, and while Benjamin has been on a bit of a sleeping strike, timing worked in our favor since we had all the Grands there to help.

choo-choo heaven for this guy

Our best attempt at turkey faces  ;)

Victor, the fire starter

While we tried to keep warm by the fire, Abigail stayed warm in Gpa's truck, playing money :)

They were not in the mood for smiles, and forget the outfits I had picked out
(George INSISTED on his PJ top!)

Benjamin wanted to be held during dinner, as is his way

A pretty lame Santa.  His beard almost fell off multiple times!

Cold (like 19 degrees!) but beautiful

Abigail refused to let me take her picture, so I got a good one of her braids  ;)

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Happy Holidays!
