About Baby Jesus

I feel like I've been talking about George so much lately (and rightfully so, I love my baby boy!) but I miss talking about my darling girl; especially now that she's at such a fun age, where every day she surprises me with her perspectives on the world and the developing language to compliment it.

So I decided to start a "kids say the darndest things" label where I share the funny comments she's made.  They will be quick posts, but something I will love looking back on.

You may have already seen this one, which is sure to be a classic, but here's another from last night:

Abigail walked into our room and went straight to my nightstand to look at baby pictures of herself and George.  While standing there she noticed my Rosary box:

A: "What's that?"

Me: "It's my Rosary Box"

A: "Oh." (and then pointing to Baby Jesus) "Who's that?"

Me: "That's Baby Jesus, and that's Mary, his Mommy"

A: "He's CUTE!!"

ha!  :)

Side note: as I type this, it's 9am and she's relaxing in the bath, per her request  ;)

I can't get enough of this kid.

20 week ultrasound

Yesterday Kevin and I went to our 20 week ultrasound.  Everything looked great and the two questions still lingering in my mind were confirmed. 1) Yes, it's a boy! 2) Nope, I'm not having twins  :) I've heard it a million times: with each pregnancy you pop a little sooner, but when I was in maternity pants at 12 weeks, I thought surely there must be two in there... Here are some pictures, if you'd like to see. During George's 20 week ultrasound Kevin admitted he'd almost fallen asleep, so I will admit: I had a hard time staying awake this time  :) But we did get to see him in 4D ultrasound which we've never done before, so that was really cool. So fun! After our appointment we went to breakfast at Salish Lodge and took my first Month of Bumps picture. (cue shrills of excitement from everyone eager to see belly pics for the next 4 months!) Before taking the picture I (lovingly) assured Kevin that yes, we would be taking...

Merry Christmas!

May your day be Merry and Bright!

A Suburban NYE

We partied hard with neighbors for New Year's Eve this year, and it was perfect - no need to dress up, tackle crowds, or spend big bucks - add to that great friends who are also neighbors, and it's a win/win.
