Slamin' in Samish

We just got back from a weekend at Lake Samish (a 24/7 Grand Slam!) and I may or may not be suffering from a mental hangover.

But we had so much fun with our wonderfully big family!

Early this week we surprised Mamie and Papa with Grand Slam t-shirts.  It was Anne's great idea; team shirts with "Lauckner Grand Slam" on the front, then our name and number on the back.  The number is determined by when you entered the family, through birth or marriage, and the picture above has us lined up in order...aside from George  ;)

Yesterday we descended on a coffee shop in Fairhaven to take pictures and totally overwhelm the place...

So fun!

Aside from the shirts, the weekend was filled with delicious food, wonderful music, and great company.  Highlights include the talent show (Kevin, your "talent" will be ingrained in the minds of our family forever), slamming John's delicious biscuits and gravy, and celebrating Christmas with all the kids.

We pretty much lived in our Slam shirts for the weekend, as you can see by all the pictures  :)

Can't wait for next time!

...but I could use a little rest until then  ;)

Merry Christmas, everyone!

20 week ultrasound

Yesterday Kevin and I went to our 20 week ultrasound.  Everything looked great and the two questions still lingering in my mind were confirmed. 1) Yes, it's a boy! 2) Nope, I'm not having twins  :) I've heard it a million times: with each pregnancy you pop a little sooner, but when I was in maternity pants at 12 weeks, I thought surely there must be two in there... Here are some pictures, if you'd like to see. During George's 20 week ultrasound Kevin admitted he'd almost fallen asleep, so I will admit: I had a hard time staying awake this time  :) But we did get to see him in 4D ultrasound which we've never done before, so that was really cool. So fun! After our appointment we went to breakfast at Salish Lodge and took my first Month of Bumps picture. (cue shrills of excitement from everyone eager to see belly pics for the next 4 months!) Before taking the picture I (lovingly) assured Kevin that yes, we would be taking...

A Suburban NYE

We partied hard with neighbors for New Year's Eve this year, and it was perfect - no need to dress up, tackle crowds, or spend big bucks - add to that great friends who are also neighbors, and it's a win/win.

Merry Christmas!

May your day be Merry and Bright!
