Georgia Boy

George turned 7 weeks old this past weekend and is growing more by the day.  Each day I sing him "Georgia Boy" to the tune of "Solider Boy"  (changing the lyrics from "Solider Boy" to "Georgia Boy", and "you were my first love", to "you were my third love" :) I love having our solo time on Wednesdays and Fridays when Abigail's with Grandma and I adore getting to know him more each day.

Before he was born, I was determined not to give him classic second child treatment: less photos, an incomplete baby book, secondary treatment... and I think so far I'm doing pretty well.  Sure, I haven't taken 1,200 pictures in the first 7 weeks (this was how many we have from Abigail's first 7 weeks; many of those are an over-zealous amount from her weekly picture project) but I have managed to take as many quick iPhone snap shots and purposeful "nice camera" pictures as time has allowed.

Here are my favorites of my little Georgia Boy over the past couple weeks:

742.

That's the number of pictures we've taken in George's first 7 weeks.  Not bad...  :)

20 week ultrasound

Yesterday Kevin and I went to our 20 week ultrasound.  Everything looked great and the two questions still lingering in my mind were confirmed. 1) Yes, it's a boy! 2) Nope, I'm not having twins  :) I've heard it a million times: with each pregnancy you pop a little sooner, but when I was in maternity pants at 12 weeks, I thought surely there must be two in there... Here are some pictures, if you'd like to see. During George's 20 week ultrasound Kevin admitted he'd almost fallen asleep, so I will admit: I had a hard time staying awake this time  :) But we did get to see him in 4D ultrasound which we've never done before, so that was really cool. So fun! After our appointment we went to breakfast at Salish Lodge and took my first Month of Bumps picture. (cue shrills of excitement from everyone eager to see belly pics for the next 4 months!) Before taking the picture I (lovingly) assured Kevin that yes, we would be taking...

Merry Christmas!

May your day be Merry and Bright!

A Suburban NYE

We partied hard with neighbors for New Year's Eve this year, and it was perfect - no need to dress up, tackle crowds, or spend big bucks - add to that great friends who are also neighbors, and it's a win/win.
