Bones

Kevin and I redefined this word a few years ago.

Bones (as in lazy bones), is defined as anyone who sleeps too much, lays around and acts lazy, or is just plain tired all the time.

I think we have a bones on our hands....

And the second place, runner up award goes to..... drum roll please..... her Dad!

I promise, we really do more than sleep around here...

This week has been going really well.  Needless to say everyone sleeps great.  Abigail has been going through a growth spurt and eats constantly but is keen to taking bottles, so it's nice to get a break sometimes and let Kevin feed her.

We've also tried giving her a pacifier (so she'll stop using me as one!), but apparently that's not gonna fly...every time we give it to her, she dramatically gags it out.  I don't see that trend picking up anytime soon...

One of many failed pacifier attempts
Aside from that, just been busy with the daily grind....naps, feedings, diaper changes, baths, and other strenuous activities ;)  She turns one month next Tuesday, so naturally, I'm in the midst of a little party planning!....

Also working on a little project this week which I'll post more about tomorrow or Thursday.

Have a great week!

20 week ultrasound

Yesterday Kevin and I went to our 20 week ultrasound.  Everything looked great and the two questions still lingering in my mind were confirmed. 1) Yes, it's a boy! 2) Nope, I'm not having twins  :) I've heard it a million times: with each pregnancy you pop a little sooner, but when I was in maternity pants at 12 weeks, I thought surely there must be two in there... Here are some pictures, if you'd like to see. During George's 20 week ultrasound Kevin admitted he'd almost fallen asleep, so I will admit: I had a hard time staying awake this time  :) But we did get to see him in 4D ultrasound which we've never done before, so that was really cool. So fun! After our appointment we went to breakfast at Salish Lodge and took my first Month of Bumps picture. (cue shrills of excitement from everyone eager to see belly pics for the next 4 months!) Before taking the picture I (lovingly) assured Kevin that yes, we would be taking...

A Suburban NYE

We partied hard with neighbors for New Year's Eve this year, and it was perfect - no need to dress up, tackle crowds, or spend big bucks - add to that great friends who are also neighbors, and it's a win/win.

Merry Christmas!

May your day be Merry and Bright!
