Being Welcomed to the Circus of Motherhood!

Have I mentioned what awesome friends I have?  It's true!  And this weekend's special shout out goes to Elle and Anne for hosting such a memorable, adorable, and utterly thoughtful baby shower for me and baby.

Joined by several of my closest friends, we spent Sunday afternoon hanging out, playing games, opening  gifts, and munching on circus style food!   Thank you again to everyone who was able to join me on this very special day.

Elle made this from Styrofoam backing and tissue paper...awesome!

Interested in buying one?  Contact Elle for details!

Yep, I'm pregnant alright!

Adorable diaper cake made by Taryn!  And she filled it with a bunch of registry items!

Anne is due October 7th!!
We can't wait for our little ones to become great friends... or maybe husband and wife?!  :)

The Aunties!

.... and I would be remiss not to mention the party taking a turn once the boys got back.  Dragging Kevin away from Andrew's motorcycle proved near impossible....

Thanks again ladies... love you all!

20 week ultrasound

Yesterday Kevin and I went to our 20 week ultrasound.  Everything looked great and the two questions still lingering in my mind were confirmed. 1) Yes, it's a boy! 2) Nope, I'm not having twins  :) I've heard it a million times: with each pregnancy you pop a little sooner, but when I was in maternity pants at 12 weeks, I thought surely there must be two in there... Here are some pictures, if you'd like to see. During George's 20 week ultrasound Kevin admitted he'd almost fallen asleep, so I will admit: I had a hard time staying awake this time  :) But we did get to see him in 4D ultrasound which we've never done before, so that was really cool. So fun! After our appointment we went to breakfast at Salish Lodge and took my first Month of Bumps picture. (cue shrills of excitement from everyone eager to see belly pics for the next 4 months!) Before taking the picture I (lovingly) assured Kevin that yes, we would be taking...

A Suburban NYE

We partied hard with neighbors for New Year's Eve this year, and it was perfect - no need to dress up, tackle crowds, or spend big bucks - add to that great friends who are also neighbors, and it's a win/win.

Merry Christmas!

May your day be Merry and Bright!
