Miss Sticky Fingers

We’re back!   Abigail’s a bit under the weather, so I’m trading today’s post for lots of baby cuddles, naps, and an un-Godly amount of daytime TV.  I’ll be back tomorrow, but in the meantime, I wanted to share a quick story. Abigail had her first "sticky finger" experience yesterday... yep, she shoplifted. Before leaving yesterday, we headed out for a last minute shopping fix and as usual, I used Abigail’s stroller to hoard embarrassing amounts of clothes  and accessories around the store.  While at H&M I found an adorable headband for $1 that I quickly decided was perfect for Abigail.  So I plopped it in her stroller while we finished shopping.… Fast forward an hour and here we were, trying on bathing suits at The Gap, when out of nowhere she pulls out the headband from her stroller- tags and all! Abigail!!   After a good laugh and some jokes about the bad behaviors of shop lifting, we decided she'd go back to the store,...

And We're Off!....

Bitz and I are headed out this morning for our 3rd annual (Abigail's first!) trip to San Fransisco with Grandma. Have a great week,  and we'll see ya back here on Thursday!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

May you have... A world of wishes at your command. God and his angels close to hand. Friends and family their love impart, and Irish blessings in your heart!

Udder-ly Adorable

I'm not sure life gets any cuter... And if that's not enough, Abigail's cow costume gave her the confidence to stand on her own for the first time today! Looks like those Swiss genes are finally shinning through  ;)

Sleep Regression

Do baby sleeping pills exists? No? Great!  That's how I'll make my first billion. Must I say it?  All my bragging over the past 7 months has jinxed my sleeping beauty, and I don't know how to get her back!  (insert knowing sneers here) However, this hilarious chart has given Kevin and I a relateable (not a word?...) chuckle or two over the past few weeks: Abigail's gotten so bad, she's branded her own move: The Ultimate Sacrifice . Much like the Booby Trap , with Jazz Hands  and Donkey Kong  thrown in for good measure, I'm sure this begs the question: "why is Tanya staying home to raise kids when she's clearly the next Picasso?!" So tonight we're pulling the crib mattress out next to our bed.  If it doesn't work, I'm not sure what we'll do.... Probably continue The Ultimate Sacrifice until our bedroom remodel is done; then we'll become "those parents" who have the family bed... Moral of ...

Grand Slam!

The whole Lauckner clan under one roof = a Grand Slam! Last night we overcame stomach flu, colds, 12 hour work days, and a few thousand miles to be together for our first grand slam since Kevin and my wedding- hard to believe it's been almost 2 years. ..and with these two years have come another wedding, and two more babies! It was so much fun having everyone together and celebrating over Ezel's chicken! First time slammers. Clearly Charlie was more excited than Abigail about it... Our resident photographer for the evening was Lucy.  A few pictures below from her 3-foot-something perspective  ;) Such a fun night- hope we don't go another year and a half before our next!

Sunday Dinners

We started a new tradition with Kevin's family a few weeks ago: Sunday dinner. I love this- it's exactly what we did growing up, and many of my fondest childhood memories were made at my Grandparents house with my cousins. So imagine my joy when I walked in on this last night: Albeit a bit unusual, but this is the stuff great memories are made of! It makes my heart smile....
