37 weeks today!

Which means we're full term!  Yay us!

With the soon-approaching end of pregnancy, I thought I'd share some highlights.  I have loved this  pregnancy (dare I go as far as to say I may....gasp!...miss it?!) and can only hope L&D will be as pleasant.

Highlights below are written in pink, in honor of Miss Abigail!

-Complete strangers are super nice to me.  They smile, move aside, let me cut in line at the store, and seem to legitimately care about my well being.  The same cannot be said while driving.  No showing belly = no mercy on the open road.

-There is no such things as sucking in.  Doesn't matter if I wanted to, I can't....which is a great feeling after a big meal.

-Older ladies stop me in the store to talk and share stories about their pregnancies.  I always enjoy this.

-Maternity pants are super comfy.  I'll have to remember this at Thanksgiving!

-I don't feel guilty taking naps, and I take them often.

-I LOVE feeling her kick and move around.  This will certainly be what I miss most.

-I get "mercy" massages from Kevin on a nightly basis.  Still figuring out how I can milk this post pregnancy....

-My stomach's firmer than it's ever been.  People ask: "can I touch your belly?"  Oh, by all means, go right ahead  ;)

-I love how productive I am in nesting mode.  Perfect for the neurotic cleaner / organizer that I am.

-Have I mentioned how nice complete strangers are?!?   This one is really SO true.

Hard to believe that in a mere 3 weeks little Abigail may be here.  Then again, it could be up to 5 weeks, so we're trying to stay level headed.

I washed all her little blankets and sheets yesterday, so we're ready when she is.

It's your call little lady!

20 week ultrasound

Yesterday Kevin and I went to our 20 week ultrasound.  Everything looked great and the two questions still lingering in my mind were confirmed. 1) Yes, it's a boy! 2) Nope, I'm not having twins  :) I've heard it a million times: with each pregnancy you pop a little sooner, but when I was in maternity pants at 12 weeks, I thought surely there must be two in there... Here are some pictures, if you'd like to see. During George's 20 week ultrasound Kevin admitted he'd almost fallen asleep, so I will admit: I had a hard time staying awake this time  :) But we did get to see him in 4D ultrasound which we've never done before, so that was really cool. So fun! After our appointment we went to breakfast at Salish Lodge and took my first Month of Bumps picture. (cue shrills of excitement from everyone eager to see belly pics for the next 4 months!) Before taking the picture I (lovingly) assured Kevin that yes, we would be taking...

Merry Christmas!

May your day be Merry and Bright!

Two!

Yesterday you turned two; I can hardly believe it! Two year pictures, wearing a dress I wore when I was little You are such a funny, sweet little girl, and I love seeing your personality unfold more each day.  This last month you've really started coming out of your shell and love making people laugh; whether tickling "gee gee gee gee" , or joking around (the other day you took a doll house high chair and pretended to sit in it...all the while looking back at me smiling and laughing like "look, I'm going to try and sit in this teeny highchair!" ), you sure know how to make us laugh. Music is your first love.  Beach Boys Greatest Hits is the current album favorite , so we listen to it in the car every day.  Mainly to Barbara Ann (you always request "ba ba ba" ).  You also love listening to Swiss music with Grandma and having Dad play "Abigail Loves Cheese" on his guitar when he gets home at night. Schwingfest is this Saturday a...
