George,
Can you believe you're two months already?
You are growing so fast and delight us every day with your new abilities! Abigail is far from tiring of you and adores holding you (she tells us this by crossing her arms and bouncing them up and down), pretending to feed you, and insisting on giving you your "bubba" (pacificer) whether you like it or not :)
We've had a big month of firsts: your first holiday, your first cold, your first real smile, your first overnight at Gma and Gpa's (we fled there during the power outage), and your first overnight without us (Mamie and Papa watched you guys while Dad and I spent a night downtown).

Here are some things we've learned about you this month:
We have a big month ahead: gearing up to celebrate Thanksgiving in Leavenworth, then a Grand Slam begins the day you turn 3 months... Uncle John, Auntie Carolyn, and Uncle Mike fly into town!
- You cry when we drive under 30 mph. 31 and above: golden silence. Seriously! It happens every time, right on the mark.
- You love to smile, especially when I greet you with a big, happy "Hhhhhhi Buuuuuddy!"
- You track objects really well, are fascinated by lights (especially the glowing blue buttons on the security system), find the mobile above the changing table hilarious, and enjoy watching cartoons with Abigail. Curious George is the current fav :)
- You loathe the hours of 5-8p.
- You have a love / hate relationship with your bubba. It's our go-to at night, but you usually spit it out during the day (much to your sister's dismay)
- Speaking of sleep, here's a typical night: 8-9pm feeding, followed by a 2-3am feed, then waking around 7:30 for the day. The past two nights you slept from 9pm-4am (hallelujah!)
- You and the swing are finally friends! Most mornings I can get 20-30 minutes out of it.

Just for you, of course ;)
Today you and I are spending the day shopping and running errands. Oh what fun!
