Abigail is 6!

It seems impossible, right?  But it's true!  Our baby is now a caring, thoughtful, and kind little six year old girl.

I'll admit that four was the hardest hurdle for me to get over and since then, this year has been the easiest, but regardless it's pretty crazy watching your babies grow into little people with their own perspectives and thoughts.

Abigail,

You are an extremely kind and wonderful little girl and it's not just me who notices this!  Teachers, camp councilors, family, and friends continuously comment on what a caring person you are and it's true; you have a heart of gold.

You love playing with Daddy when he gets home from work (he's the only adult in this house willing to play Barbies šŸ˜‰) and you are so engaged with and kind to your brothers.  Your closest friends right now are Emily and Zoe (whom you've had swim lessons with this summer), your favorite color is pink, and you have LOVED going to camp this summer at the Y (you come home talking about Chewy - camp counselor - or any number of friends every day).

I am so proud of the amazing little girl you are - I'm not even sure how I've nurtured such a sweet thing - and I can't WAIT to see you bloom and grow this coming year in Kindergarten.

Here's to you and the year ahead, Bitsy Girl!

All my love, today and always.

(don't miss her six year interview below šŸ’œ)

20 week ultrasound

Yesterday Kevin and I went to our 20 week ultrasound.  Everything looked great and the two questions still lingering in my mind were confirmed. 1) Yes, it's a boy! 2) Nope, I'm not having twins  :) I've heard it a million times: with each pregnancy you pop a little sooner, but when I was in maternity pants at 12 weeks, I thought surely there must be two in there... Here are some pictures, if you'd like to see. During George's 20 week ultrasound Kevin admitted he'd almost fallen asleep, so I will admit: I had a hard time staying awake this time  :) But we did get to see him in 4D ultrasound which we've never done before, so that was really cool. So fun! After our appointment we went to breakfast at Salish Lodge and took my first Month of Bumps picture. (cue shrills of excitement from everyone eager to see belly pics for the next 4 months!) Before taking the picture I (lovingly) assured Kevin that yes, we would be taking...

Two!

Yesterday you turned two; I can hardly believe it! Two year pictures, wearing a dress I wore when I was little You are such a funny, sweet little girl, and I love seeing your personality unfold more each day.  This last month you've really started coming out of your shell and love making people laugh; whether tickling "gee gee gee gee" , or joking around (the other day you took a doll house high chair and pretended to sit in it...all the while looking back at me smiling and laughing like "look, I'm going to try and sit in this teeny highchair!" ), you sure know how to make us laugh. Music is your first love.  Beach Boys Greatest Hits is the current album favorite , so we listen to it in the car every day.  Mainly to Barbara Ann (you always request "ba ba ba" ).  You also love listening to Swiss music with Grandma and having Dad play "Abigail Loves Cheese" on his guitar when he gets home at night. Schwingfest is this Saturday a...

five months

Happy #5, Benny Boy! You have grown up so much this past month, and in the sweetest ways possible.  You adore a good tickle or friendly face and can't seem to soak in the world around you enough; every time I look at you, your eyes are quickly scanning the room, working hard to put all the pieces together. A smart little guy, you are  :) This month I moved you to the nursery.  It was becoming increasingly difficult to put Abigail and George to bed at night, but putting them together in a room has made bedtime simple - they love being together.  As such, you now have your own room!  It's so sweet being back in a nursery with a little one.  Since George was in our bedroom until he was 5 months, then living at Gma and Gpa's for another 6 months, he wasn't in his own room until his first birthday.  So, in many ways, having you in a nursery reminds me so much of my first time around the Motherhood block, and many nights it fills me with such joy just...
