Abigail,

You fill our lives with such joy, humor, and kindness.  You have an incredible heart that shows in everything you do.  You love being the big sister, and your brothers idolize you; there's no doubt about it.

You're learning so much in school this year and really seem to enjoy it.  Logan is your best friend and just a couple of weeks ago, he invited you to his 5th birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese.  You and Dad went and Dad says you were the honorary guest. Logan was so happy to have you there, and the two of you loved running around together, sitting next to each other for food and cake; he even chose you to come into the hurricane with him to collect tickets.

It's such a joy seeing you begin to form friendships with your peers, and it's just too adorable that your first BF is a little boy.  It makes perfect sense.

You're writing your name, identifying letters and numbers, and have taken an interest in puzzles.  With just a row of help, you now do 64 piece puzzles all by yourself!  You also are a great helper and assist George in getting his shoes and coat on every day (God forbid I attempt to zip his coat!)

Have I said how proud I am to be your Mom?  It's so true.

"Abigail, I love you."

"why?"

"Cause you're my baby girl!!"

"Why do you always say that, Mommy?"

"Cause it's true."

We're half way to 5, Baby Girl.

Let's see if my heart can handle it.

20 week ultrasound

Yesterday Kevin and I went to our 20 week ultrasound.  Everything looked great and the two questions still lingering in my mind were confirmed. 1) Yes, it's a boy! 2) Nope, I'm not having twins  :) I've heard it a million times: with each pregnancy you pop a little sooner, but when I was in maternity pants at 12 weeks, I thought surely there must be two in there... Here are some pictures, if you'd like to see. During George's 20 week ultrasound Kevin admitted he'd almost fallen asleep, so I will admit: I had a hard time staying awake this time  :) But we did get to see him in 4D ultrasound which we've never done before, so that was really cool. So fun! After our appointment we went to breakfast at Salish Lodge and took my first Month of Bumps picture. (cue shrills of excitement from everyone eager to see belly pics for the next 4 months!) Before taking the picture I (lovingly) assured Kevin that yes, we would be taking...

Cocina Esperanza

Just had to give a shout out to our new restaurant find!  Kevin and I were driving around the Sunset Hill / Blue Ridge neighborhoods last weekend and came upon this little Mexican restaurant.  A very unassuming place...small brick building near the corner of NW 85th & 30th Ave (right next to the north entrance of Golden Garden's and Shilshole Bay Marina).  We finally got around to checking it out late last week, and oh boy, have we been missing out!! Now, any of you who know me, know I'm a self proclaimed Mexican food connoisseur...and by connoisseur, I mean boarder line obsessive.  I love all things Mexican cuisine...especially melted cheese.  So I should admit; their whole "authentic" label had me a bit apprehensive ...."will there be enough melted cheese on my food??"   was sadly my first thought  (hey, I'm pregnant...give a girl a break!)  So, late last week, we wandered in, found a nice table by the window, ordered t...

Two!

Yesterday you turned two; I can hardly believe it! Two year pictures, wearing a dress I wore when I was little You are such a funny, sweet little girl, and I love seeing your personality unfold more each day.  This last month you've really started coming out of your shell and love making people laugh; whether tickling "gee gee gee gee" , or joking around (the other day you took a doll house high chair and pretended to sit in it...all the while looking back at me smiling and laughing like "look, I'm going to try and sit in this teeny highchair!" ), you sure know how to make us laugh. Music is your first love.  Beach Boys Greatest Hits is the current album favorite , so we listen to it in the car every day.  Mainly to Barbara Ann (you always request "ba ba ba" ).  You also love listening to Swiss music with Grandma and having Dad play "Abigail Loves Cheese" on his guitar when he gets home at night. Schwingfest is this Saturday a...
