Super Bowl Champions!

The Seahawks won the Super Bowl, beating the Broncos 43-8 and the city has been unglued all week!

To celebrate, Kevin took Wednesday off and we went to the rally at Century Link field.  We bundled up the kids and headed out around 9:30.  It took us over two hours to get into town, and once we got there, we walked from Denny all the way down 5th Ave to The Clink (traffic was a nightmare and our bus couldn't budge past Dexter & Denny).

Once we got there, a staff members at the stadium took pity on the idiots who brought two babies to the rally, and let us sit in the disabled section of the Delta Club, so we were able to split our time between outside festivities and indoor nursing, playing, and napping  :)

Here are some pictures from our Seahawks Family Adventure Day:

Waiting at our bus stop (for over an hour!)

Finally on the bus.  Shortly after this picture, they filled it to the gils!

Insane crowds gathered down on 4th for the parade

Earmuffs!
Hanging out near the suites, moments before GG's nap  :)

Awake and ready to rally!

He fell asleep again right as Russell Wilson came out with the Lombardi trophy  :)

Cheering and celebrating

Abigail loved cheering, but started to fade...

Then suddenly, in the midst of a cheering frenzy, both kids were asleep.

Notice Abigail on the bar top.  Not dead, just fast asleep :)

Family picture before heading home (we let the kids keep sleeping while the crowds dispersed)

Abigail loved wearing the earmuffs  :)

It was a long day and a lot to manage with two kids, but we were so happy to be a part of this historic day.

Congratulations on the Championship win, Seahawks.

Bring on the 2014 season!

20 week ultrasound

Yesterday Kevin and I went to our 20 week ultrasound.  Everything looked great and the two questions still lingering in my mind were confirmed. 1) Yes, it's a boy! 2) Nope, I'm not having twins  :) I've heard it a million times: with each pregnancy you pop a little sooner, but when I was in maternity pants at 12 weeks, I thought surely there must be two in there... Here are some pictures, if you'd like to see. During George's 20 week ultrasound Kevin admitted he'd almost fallen asleep, so I will admit: I had a hard time staying awake this time  :) But we did get to see him in 4D ultrasound which we've never done before, so that was really cool. So fun! After our appointment we went to breakfast at Salish Lodge and took my first Month of Bumps picture. (cue shrills of excitement from everyone eager to see belly pics for the next 4 months!) Before taking the picture I (lovingly) assured Kevin that yes, we would be taking...

Cocina Esperanza

Just had to give a shout out to our new restaurant find!  Kevin and I were driving around the Sunset Hill / Blue Ridge neighborhoods last weekend and came upon this little Mexican restaurant.  A very unassuming place...small brick building near the corner of NW 85th & 30th Ave (right next to the north entrance of Golden Garden's and Shilshole Bay Marina).  We finally got around to checking it out late last week, and oh boy, have we been missing out!! Now, any of you who know me, know I'm a self proclaimed Mexican food connoisseur...and by connoisseur, I mean boarder line obsessive.  I love all things Mexican cuisine...especially melted cheese.  So I should admit; their whole "authentic" label had me a bit apprehensive ...."will there be enough melted cheese on my food??"   was sadly my first thought  (hey, I'm pregnant...give a girl a break!)  So, late last week, we wandered in, found a nice table by the window, ordered t...

Two!

Yesterday you turned two; I can hardly believe it! Two year pictures, wearing a dress I wore when I was little You are such a funny, sweet little girl, and I love seeing your personality unfold more each day.  This last month you've really started coming out of your shell and love making people laugh; whether tickling "gee gee gee gee" , or joking around (the other day you took a doll house high chair and pretended to sit in it...all the while looking back at me smiling and laughing like "look, I'm going to try and sit in this teeny highchair!" ), you sure know how to make us laugh. Music is your first love.  Beach Boys Greatest Hits is the current album favorite , so we listen to it in the car every day.  Mainly to Barbara Ann (you always request "ba ba ba" ).  You also love listening to Swiss music with Grandma and having Dad play "Abigail Loves Cheese" on his guitar when he gets home at night. Schwingfest is this Saturday a...
