Mom and Tanya's annual San Fransisco trip!

I wasn't very diligent about taking pictures this weekend, but below are a few from our trip.  Such a fun weekend...we found lots of cute clothes for Baby, Mom, and Grandma alike!

Below are a few pictures taken from our hotel room.  These were small views we had between the large buildings, but pretty none the less.

First thing we did after unpacking was go to Neiman Marcus for lunch.  A fun tradition!ļ»æ

Shopped around for the afternoon and found some cute things, then headed out later for dinner in Little Italy....best Italian food I've had in along time!

Post dinner pic...I look very pregnant....and very full!

As such, we decided to stroll around the neighborhood and walk home instead of taking a cab...not so bad when it's all downhill.  Gave us a chance to explore the neighborhoods and walk through Chinatown.

Woke up on Sunday ready for more shopping and exploring.  Started the day at a few fun maternity boutiques, then headed down to Fisherman's Wharf for lunch!

And least we forget Ghirardelli Square!  The ice cream sunday is a MUST....especially for the pregnant lady  :)

After lunch, we headed back via trolley to Union Square for more shopping. This time we both lucked out....me in Macy's maternity section and Mom at Zara (it was heartbreaking to go to Zara and not be able to fit into anything)  :(

By dinnertime, we were exhausted and opted for dinner in the lobby of our hotel, then a movie in our room.  We watched TheTourist....great movie!  I'm bias and love Angelina Jolie...I know, some people hate her, but I love her...an embarrassing admission.

Monday we decompressed and spent the morning hanging out and getting ready to go home.  Lucky for us, it was a beautiful day- not a cloud in the sky and almost 70 degrees!  So we headed to Union Square  for some final shopping and lunch at The Cheesecake Factory.  Yeah, yeah... we go all the way to SF and eat here?!  But they had a patio and it was a beautiful day!

Our friendly lunch guest

After lunch we stopped by a salon where I got my hair cut (I got bangs again!), then headed back to our hotel and off to the airport.

Such a fun trip and a great annual tradition for my Mom and I.  And so long as Little Miss Abigail is a good baby, she'll be coming along next year!

20 week ultrasound

Yesterday Kevin and I went to our 20 week ultrasound.  Everything looked great and the two questions still lingering in my mind were confirmed. 1) Yes, it's a boy! 2) Nope, I'm not having twins  :) I've heard it a million times: with each pregnancy you pop a little sooner, but when I was in maternity pants at 12 weeks, I thought surely there must be two in there... Here are some pictures, if you'd like to see. During George's 20 week ultrasound Kevin admitted he'd almost fallen asleep, so I will admit: I had a hard time staying awake this time  :) But we did get to see him in 4D ultrasound which we've never done before, so that was really cool. So fun! After our appointment we went to breakfast at Salish Lodge and took my first Month of Bumps picture. (cue shrills of excitement from everyone eager to see belly pics for the next 4 months!) Before taking the picture I (lovingly) assured Kevin that yes, we would be taking...

Two!

Yesterday you turned two; I can hardly believe it! Two year pictures, wearing a dress I wore when I was little You are such a funny, sweet little girl, and I love seeing your personality unfold more each day.  This last month you've really started coming out of your shell and love making people laugh; whether tickling "gee gee gee gee" , or joking around (the other day you took a doll house high chair and pretended to sit in it...all the while looking back at me smiling and laughing like "look, I'm going to try and sit in this teeny highchair!" ), you sure know how to make us laugh. Music is your first love.  Beach Boys Greatest Hits is the current album favorite , so we listen to it in the car every day.  Mainly to Barbara Ann (you always request "ba ba ba" ).  You also love listening to Swiss music with Grandma and having Dad play "Abigail Loves Cheese" on his guitar when he gets home at night. Schwingfest is this Saturday a...

five months

Happy #5, Benny Boy! You have grown up so much this past month, and in the sweetest ways possible.  You adore a good tickle or friendly face and can't seem to soak in the world around you enough; every time I look at you, your eyes are quickly scanning the room, working hard to put all the pieces together. A smart little guy, you are  :) This month I moved you to the nursery.  It was becoming increasingly difficult to put Abigail and George to bed at night, but putting them together in a room has made bedtime simple - they love being together.  As such, you now have your own room!  It's so sweet being back in a nursery with a little one.  Since George was in our bedroom until he was 5 months, then living at Gma and Gpa's for another 6 months, he wasn't in his own room until his first birthday.  So, in many ways, having you in a nursery reminds me so much of my first time around the Motherhood block, and many nights it fills me with such joy just...
