Being lazy

Okay, I'm finding it really hard to get back into blogging right now for a few reasons. 1) I'm super behind on updating you on everything and 2) I don't have our honeymoon pics downloaded on the computer that I blog from. I know...excuses, excuses. But either way, I do have a few pictures to share from Lucy's birthday, Schwingfest, and Kevin's birthday, so that's what we'll do today. How's that sound? Then next week I'm back at it and will get the honeymoon blog going. So... to my millions of follower (3 to be exact), without further adieu, I give you summer 2010 (minus any and all wedding related stuff)

Lucy's birthday! During the earlier summer months (before we got completely inundated with wedding "to-dos") we were able to join Lucy for a ice cream parlor birthday party! And trust me, we enjoyed our fair share of ice cream to celebrate.

Barbie cake made by Auntie Laine!

Oscar after a "few too many" scoops!

Would you expect anything less?

We had a great time at your party, Lucy!  Happy Birthday.  We love you so much!

Moving on and skipping forward to August, we went to Schwingfest the weekend we came home from our honeymoon (got home at noon on the 12th and ready to party by Saturday the 14th!)

I love going each year and catching up with the family. Summer is never complete without it!

Headed over to Lucy's after we left the park and decided to spend the night. Had a great time hanging out, listening to Johnny Favor and his kids play music, and staying up all night with Anthony catching up till 4am!

Skip forward 3 days and it was time to celebrate my Husband's birthday....first year ever having a "Husband's birthday" to celebrate- how cool! Since we've been on the go all summer and still catching up, we decided to take it easy.

Met at home after work- I got off a bit early to decorate and ice the cake...

Yes, I made this- don't laugh!

...then we headed out to Le Pitchet for dinner. We got a $75 certificate from Robert and Marie as a wedding (thanks guys!!) so we decided to check it out. Stopped by the market first and grabbed a drink while we waited for our 6:30 reservation.

Kevin enjoying a birthday beer with a view!

Below are some pictures from dinner. We had an amazing meal: bread, olives, salad and a meat plate (complete with cow tongue!) and a bottle of white wine. Happy birthday my love!

The sunset was beautiful that evening....a perfect nod to my perfect husband!
Welp, that's it. As promised, it was a lazy entry, but I promise to be back in full swing next week and ready to take on the world... one blog post at a time.

Happy Labor Day Weekend!!

20 week ultrasound

Yesterday Kevin and I went to our 20 week ultrasound.  Everything looked great and the two questions still lingering in my mind were confirmed. 1) Yes, it's a boy! 2) Nope, I'm not having twins  :) I've heard it a million times: with each pregnancy you pop a little sooner, but when I was in maternity pants at 12 weeks, I thought surely there must be two in there... Here are some pictures, if you'd like to see. During George's 20 week ultrasound Kevin admitted he'd almost fallen asleep, so I will admit: I had a hard time staying awake this time  :) But we did get to see him in 4D ultrasound which we've never done before, so that was really cool. So fun! After our appointment we went to breakfast at Salish Lodge and took my first Month of Bumps picture. (cue shrills of excitement from everyone eager to see belly pics for the next 4 months!) Before taking the picture I (lovingly) assured Kevin that yes, we would be taking...

Two!

Yesterday you turned two; I can hardly believe it! Two year pictures, wearing a dress I wore when I was little You are such a funny, sweet little girl, and I love seeing your personality unfold more each day.  This last month you've really started coming out of your shell and love making people laugh; whether tickling "gee gee gee gee" , or joking around (the other day you took a doll house high chair and pretended to sit in it...all the while looking back at me smiling and laughing like "look, I'm going to try and sit in this teeny highchair!" ), you sure know how to make us laugh. Music is your first love.  Beach Boys Greatest Hits is the current album favorite , so we listen to it in the car every day.  Mainly to Barbara Ann (you always request "ba ba ba" ).  You also love listening to Swiss music with Grandma and having Dad play "Abigail Loves Cheese" on his guitar when he gets home at night. Schwingfest is this Saturday a...

five months

Happy #5, Benny Boy! You have grown up so much this past month, and in the sweetest ways possible.  You adore a good tickle or friendly face and can't seem to soak in the world around you enough; every time I look at you, your eyes are quickly scanning the room, working hard to put all the pieces together. A smart little guy, you are  :) This month I moved you to the nursery.  It was becoming increasingly difficult to put Abigail and George to bed at night, but putting them together in a room has made bedtime simple - they love being together.  As such, you now have your own room!  It's so sweet being back in a nursery with a little one.  Since George was in our bedroom until he was 5 months, then living at Gma and Gpa's for another 6 months, he wasn't in his own room until his first birthday.  So, in many ways, having you in a nursery reminds me so much of my first time around the Motherhood block, and many nights it fills me with such joy just...
