Christmas, 2014

Merry Christmas! After a morning getting to know Millie, we're off to Grandma and Grandpa's for the holiday week to hang out, play in the snow, and just relax (the last part is a stretch!) Oodles of Christmas pictures will be coming soon. A very merry Christmas to each of you!

Snowflake Lane

Festivities continued this week at Snowflake Lane! Kevin, myself, Anne, and Ian have a tradition of taking the kids to Snowflake Lane most years, and in recent years, Mamie and Papa have been here to join the fun. D ue to my pushy nature  we got the kids a front row seat this year; they had a blast (especially Charlie and Abigail!) and were so taken by all the activity, snow, and special guests (Frosty, Ice Queens, Elves, and Drummer Boys) Cousin Love (aka, "Abigail! Charlie! I want a picture of you guys hugging") Party animals Hanging with her Elf friend Snow! Attempting a cousin pic (fail) And just for fun, I found some adorable pictures from Oscar's first year at Snowflake Lane, wearing the  infamous scarf I made  :) ...so fun. Happy Friday!

Leavenworth Tree Lighting

This past weekend we invited our friends to Leavenworth for Tree Lighting. It was super busy in town (not the highlight of the weekend...) but we enjoyed some fun times back at the house. Here are some adorable pictures of Abigail and her friends  :) Malia, Abigail, Will, and Brogan Malia, Brogan, Abigail, and Will 3 adults, 4 babies!  (George, Steph, Coralie, Graeme, Brogan, Abigail, Kevin) The madness The girls!  (Maeve, Abigail, and Malia) The girls watching Polar Express with Graeme So much fun. 15 months

Hi Boyfriend! Yet another month has passed and it's been a busy one. We have been spending lots of time in Leavenworth (a place where you don't sleep well, making for loooong weekends), and getting ready for Christmas by decorating the house, meeting Santa, and playing with ornaments on the tree ( this one is by far your favorite, which of course makes Sissy mad since "it's mine, GG!!") Oh, the joy of the holidays  :) And while we've been having a great month, a 105 degree fever and ear infection landed you at Children's Hospital last Monday night.  It was a rough week but you were full of cuddles, so I can't say I hated every minute  :) We had your 15 month appointment last week too. You're 31.75" (74%), and 22lbs, 5.5oz (45%) and doing great! Here are your New News this month: I haven't taught you much sign language, but you've started signing "Jesus" for "more" .  (I didn't teach that to yo...

Santa time!

Christmastime has arrived at Lauckner's and we're having a lot of fun celebrating the season. Abigail is really getting into the Christmas spirit: she sings Jingle Bells non-stop, randomly bursts out with "Merry Christmas!" , and throws in some "Ho Ho Ho"  for good measure, too. She loves reading about Santa, seeing him in movies, and telling us   what she'll ask for   (which by the way is a cat  (come again?!)  and a puppy for George  (ha!) So we were super excited to bring the kids to meet The Big Guy last weekend, but  they weren't having it.   Abigail was reluctant to be within 5 feet of the guy and George, well... Let's just say the whole ordeal really pissed him off   :) Of course, once out of arms reach they were curious and calm; watching Santa talk to other kids and shyly waving from afar. (always the case!) The highlight for George was a visit with Santa's reindeer.  He spent a solid five minu...

Fall Art

Now that Abigail is in school, we have a steady stream of artwork coming through our door each week.  With Thanksgiving over and Christmas on it's way, I took down Abigail's fall art to make room for new work. But what am I suppose to do with it?! I have yet to send them to artwork heaven, but thought I would publish them here incase they happens to pass through those colorful gates ;) Place setting and place mat made for her Thanksgiving feast at school This one's a keeper  :) My fridge is depressingly bare today, but Abigail loves  making art so there will be some festive stuff coming soon, I'm sure. Bring on the merriment, Bitsy Girl!

Thanksgiving, 2014

It has been almost 20 years since we spent a Thanksgiving holiday on the family property , but this past weekend we Christened the new cabin with its first Thanksgiving celebration! Spending the weekend with our families (Gma, Gpa, Mamie, Papa, Uncle Mike, Uncle Victor, Catherine, and Uncle Bob) was relaxing and enjoyable.  We had a great time playing in the snow, making bonfires, setting off rockets, watching football ( and movies each night! ), and going to town to meet Santa at the Christkindl Market. Snow on Saturday morning was a fun surprise, too! Sledding with Papa Thanksgiving morning.  George wasn't a fan Dance party! Kevin's fire.  It was much bigger than this picture makes it look  :) Back at it.  Still hating it My pant-less cowboy!
