It's Masters Week!

I really shouldn't use an exclamation in the subject line.  The week typically means Kevin dissolves into the couch to watch golf until Sunday, but it's also a fun time at our house.  He loves watching the Master's (says it's his Super Bowl), and it's fun to watch him geek out and get so excited about it.

This year he set up two TV's side by side so he can watch the Master's on one, and play his new Tiger Woods 2012 (Master Edition) on the other.  This is no joke....we gave it a test run last night.  I promise to post pictures this week once he's in full geek mode  :)

It's also hard to believe that 3 years ago today, Kevin, Kirk, Amy and I were in Augusta, Georgia walking around Augusta National (like as we speak)!  What a fun day and week it was....every year I think of that trip and all the fun memories.  We saw lots of famous golfers (Fred Couples, Tiger Woods, Gary Player..), then spent a week in Charleston, South Carolina where Amy taught me to knit.

Below are some pictures...as a little trip down "Magnolia Lane"

Tiger in the passenger's seat.  He waved at me!  At least that's my story...and I'm sticking to it.

We headed to Charleston that night and stay in Isle of Palms for the next week.  It was a dream!  80 degrees and hot the whole week.

A typical high end home in Charleston.  Check out that amazing sun porch.

I only wish we were back there right now...

Happy Masters Week, everyone!

20 week ultrasound

Yesterday Kevin and I went to our 20 week ultrasound.  Everything looked great and the two questions still lingering in my mind were confirmed. 1) Yes, it's a boy! 2) Nope, I'm not having twins  :) I've heard it a million times: with each pregnancy you pop a little sooner, but when I was in maternity pants at 12 weeks, I thought surely there must be two in there... Here are some pictures, if you'd like to see. During George's 20 week ultrasound Kevin admitted he'd almost fallen asleep, so I will admit: I had a hard time staying awake this time  :) But we did get to see him in 4D ultrasound which we've never done before, so that was really cool. So fun! After our appointment we went to breakfast at Salish Lodge and took my first Month of Bumps picture. (cue shrills of excitement from everyone eager to see belly pics for the next 4 months!) Before taking the picture I (lovingly) assured Kevin that yes, we would be taking...

Two!

Yesterday you turned two; I can hardly believe it! Two year pictures, wearing a dress I wore when I was little You are such a funny, sweet little girl, and I love seeing your personality unfold more each day.  This last month you've really started coming out of your shell and love making people laugh; whether tickling "gee gee gee gee" , or joking around (the other day you took a doll house high chair and pretended to sit in it...all the while looking back at me smiling and laughing like "look, I'm going to try and sit in this teeny highchair!" ), you sure know how to make us laugh. Music is your first love.  Beach Boys Greatest Hits is the current album favorite , so we listen to it in the car every day.  Mainly to Barbara Ann (you always request "ba ba ba" ).  You also love listening to Swiss music with Grandma and having Dad play "Abigail Loves Cheese" on his guitar when he gets home at night. Schwingfest is this Saturday a...

five months

Happy #5, Benny Boy! You have grown up so much this past month, and in the sweetest ways possible.  You adore a good tickle or friendly face and can't seem to soak in the world around you enough; every time I look at you, your eyes are quickly scanning the room, working hard to put all the pieces together. A smart little guy, you are  :) This month I moved you to the nursery.  It was becoming increasingly difficult to put Abigail and George to bed at night, but putting them together in a room has made bedtime simple - they love being together.  As such, you now have your own room!  It's so sweet being back in a nursery with a little one.  Since George was in our bedroom until he was 5 months, then living at Gma and Gpa's for another 6 months, he wasn't in his own room until his first birthday.  So, in many ways, having you in a nursery reminds me so much of my first time around the Motherhood block, and many nights it fills me with such joy just...
