First Comes Love...

In other baby news, Thursday's are our weekly count day (Little Baby Lauckner turns one week older every Thursday) so we elected to make Thursdays our special date night... a habit we'd like to keep in practice post-pregnancy as well. Pictures taken below were from our Christmas-Eve-Eve (12/23) appointment and first date night. We celebrated with shopping downtown and dinner at The Met! At the big 20 week mark, we plan to make dinner reservations at Benihanna (if it’s a boy), and Pink Door (if it’s a girl), then go to the reservation that matches the sex of the baby.... can’t wait to find out!! Tonight it’s off to Gainsbourg.  From what we’ve heard, it’s one of Greenwood’s best kept secrets! Happy 13 weeks, Little One! xxx

Yep, you read that right.... pregnant and thrilled! We are so excited to be adding to our family and delighted to finally share the news with all of you. We went to the doctor for our second appointment on Monday and are 12 weeks, 6 days along....we'll just call it 13 weeks ;) Baby was bouncing around during parts of the ultrasound, so that was fun to see; a little athlete! That, or as Kevin lovingly reminds me, Baby’s working off all the junk food I've been eating (one of us has to do it...)  But all joking aside, a really good appointment and a big Mommy relief. The blog has been neglected due to busy work and life schedules, so I've resolved to make this my new years resolution: blog more!  We'll see how that goes...  I've had a few people ask me to post pictures from the holidays, and I'm embarrassed to say it, but we really don't have any.  Below are a few from our holiday party, but other than that, Nada.  This will be my new years resolution, I promise! Hope everyone is well and starting off the new year on a good note.  Will be back in a few days with more news.  This I can promise!!... My new format, that is.  I just discovered the design tab.  I felt like the ol' blog needed a bit of sprucing up, but maybe it's too busy; I haven't decided yet.  Suggestions are also welcome from those who know more about design and format....I'm totally green. Speaking of upgrades, my Mother-in-Law is in town this week!  It's always amazing to have her here and fills us with such joy. This picture was taken during our shopping extravaganza to find Lucy the perfect Flower Girl dress.  We ended up finding one at La Belle Elane (same place where I got my wedding dress!)  and she loves it.

As promised, here are some pictures from Thanksgiving weekend.  Such a great weekend full of food, family and great memories.  It's times like these that make us so thankful for all we have.  This year we stayed out in Brenner Canyon at the Szmania family farmhouse.  If that name sounds familiar, it's because they're also the owners of Szmania's in Magnolia; a restaurant in the village....used to be one of my Grandparent's favorite local places for dinner.  We headed out from Issaquah early on Wednesday afternoon and arrived by 5pm.  I didn't take a ton of pictures but got a few shots below that captured the weekend well....next year I'll be better about it.
