Hillbilly Bitsy

After months of waiting, we broke ground on Saturday! Lots of crying, cuddling, and extra love helped Abigail's first tooth along, and now we have a little hillbilly on our hands! Top left is coming in a close second Maybe someday we'll get bottom teeth? Might the tooth fairy consider it for her birthday? But for now, that lonesome top right is pretty darn cute. It wasn't easy snapping a shot of this elusive tooth.... But she ended her photo shoot with a quick crawl... To a pacifier?... Oh boy.  Let's not start now... Congrats on your first tooth, Miss Abigail!  You look quite dignified  :)

Melt my heart

Look what I found when I walked into the office last night... These two will be on the road in no time! Happy Friday. Enjoy the weekend!

Celebrating Father's Day in Lake Chelan

We packed up Thursday morning and headed to Chelan for a weekend getaway. Kevin, Abigail, Dad, Mom, Victor, Popeye, and I joined-in for a weekend full of boating, bonfires, booze, and sun. We stayed at Watson's  (on the south shore, near the state park) and enjoyed cabin style comforts of life on the lake- it was great! View of Watson's from the dock. We stayed in the front left cabin with the big deck.  Great views! ....a relaxing weekend spent with family, and topped off with Kevin's first Father's Day celebration! View from the deck Abigail hates her lifejacket... Guess who took a turn at the helm! PBR + Lake Chelan = perfection Dinner at Wapato Point Cellars Chillin by the campfire The nightly bonfire Morning cruise, coffee in hand Saturday's swim crew Teaching each other to swim.. who's in charge here?! An afternoon bocce ball tournament Victor's Chihuly-style bonfire on Sa...

Swim Lesson Strike

It seems Abigail's fed up with swim lessons and the only way she knows how to tell me is by sleeping through her lesson every. single. thursday. morning. for the past few weeks... So, extra bath time it is! And on a totally unrelated note, have I ever mentioned this kid's love for sweet potatoes?!   ;) It runs deep... Happy Thursday- we're almost there!

A place so great, they named it twice

Kevin and I had a great time in Walla Walla this past weekend. It was just what we needed: alone time, sans baby, mixed with good wine, great food, and some much needed R&R. We set out Friday morning, headed straight for our favorite place: Three Rivers! It's the perfect Kevin / Tanya winery: great wine that I enjoy, and a free, par 2 golf course for Kevin to enjoy! In the spirit of responsibility (and not wanting to overdo it on Day 1), we called it quits after Three Rivers and headed to Areus to check in. The reviews for Areus are mixed, but it was the perfect fit for us: low key, not overly fussy, great views, and a beautiful pool (that we never used...) Dave, our host, was gracious, informative, and friendly- getting us reservations at Whitehouse Crawford  on Friday night and driving us to town, complete with an adorable Walla Walla neighborhood tour.  He was trying to sell us on the move- we were biting...
