The Kingfish Cafe

Friday night Kevin and I went to dinner with my parents, uncle, cousin and his girlfriend at The Kingfish Cafe in Capitol Hill.  If you haven't checked it out and love Southern food, it's a must!  Amazing! We split the pork chops and mac and cheese (plus the sweet potato fries for starters!).  I don't know about you, but Mac and Cheese is one of my all time favorites.  Like seriously, if I had to choose a last meal, it would include mac and cheese.  With that in mind,  I'm happy to report I have found my favorite version here at Kingfish! Check it out: A brick of Mac and Chesse??  I was in heaven! We didn't get dessert, but the Red Velvet cake looked delicious, so save room. Oh and here's a link to their website...lots of amazing Southern food:  http://thekingfishcafe.com/ Aside from eating, life's been pretty busy.  Lots going on between work, weekends and doctor appointments.  We had a doc appointmen...

SMARTS Magazine: loveSMARTS: 3 Keys to Happily Ever After

Kevin's cousin recently started up an awesome online magazine. Yesterday my Mother in Law wrote an article for the publication...one worth reading for anyone in a relationship. Amy and Kirk, you are such an inspiration to us! SMARTS Magazine: loveSMARTS: 3 Keys to Happily Ever After : "Today's contribution comes from someone near and dear to us, Aunt Amy. Hers has long been a wonderful example of joyful marriage. We've witn..."

I take that back...

Apparently we ARE celebrating Valentine's Day!  The flowers below were just delivered to my office from my Valentine!! Thank you Lovies, these brightened my day more than you know!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Kevin and I don't usually celebrate Valentine's Day, but this year has me dreaming of these little goodies!  Maybe I'll grab a box for dessert tonight... Hope everyone's having a great day and able to spend time with their Valentine tonight! xoxox

Too funny not to share...

This is a hilarious example of Kevin's undying support of my pregnancy, weight gain and all it's glory... I was sitting at my desk eating a Milky Way (mind you, "fun size") and decided to share the below with my loving, supportive husband.   From: Tanya Lauckner [mailto:tlauckner@adww.com] Sent: Thursday, February 10, 2011 1:42 PM To: Kevin Lauckner Subject: Ya know what my new favorite candy is? Milky Way! It’s just a 3 Musketeers with caramel inside….never knew! And here, ladies and gentleman, is Kevin's "knight and shining armor" response: From: Kevin Lauckner [mailto:kevinl@csgchannels.com] Sent: Thursday, February 10, 2011 1:58 PM To: Tanya Lauckner Subject: RE   Yep- eat your heart out ladies....he's all mine!  ;)

Gorditos date night

Yep, we're pretty fancy. Decided to soak up the sunshine with a walk around Greenlake followed by dinner at Gorditos last night. It's one of our favorite Greenwood establishments and a great dinner for cheap... we split the burrito for $8! Once baby is born, we'll be coming to take our Baby vs. Burrito picture.  Below is an example. Hopefully we make the wall of fame! That's all for now... Happy almost Friday!

Bye bye Audi, I'll miss you!

It's official.  As of Friday, the Audi will be going to a new home.  A bittersweet moment for me (since I get emotionally attached to physical items....pathetic, I know), but we're excited to have found a great owner and looking forward to moving ahead (me with the 4Runner- my new baby and grocery getter, and Kevin in the "African Prince"- a 1983 Mercedes 300SD).   Story of Kev's new ride coming soon... Hope everyone's having a great week!  Pictures coming soon from Brooke and Jarret's beautiful wedding in Leavenworth last weekend- it was a blast!
